Stations of the Cross during Lent - Tuesday evenings at St. James Parish at 6:00 p.m.
Friday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's.

Also the next skating/card party will be on Sunday, February 21st at the Seaforth and District Community Centre from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. Come for a hot dog lunch and then do some skating or play some cards. Refreshments will be provided. Everyone welcome.

Sacrament of Confirmation…A meeting will be held for students in Grade 7 & 8 and their parents on Monday, Feb. 22nd at St. James Church, Seaforth at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will help to inform and assist you in preparing your child for Confirmation. If your child attends public school or is home-schooled, please call the parish office at 519-345-2972 ext 23 for the registration forms. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated at St. James Church on Tuesday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m.

Marriage Preparation…Engaged couples can still register for a Marriage Preparation Weekend at St. Vincent de Paul Parish Hall in Mitchell on Feb. 26, 27 and 28. Please contact the parish office for the registration form (519-345-2972 ext. 23). VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: A few more married couples are needed to share their experiences and insights at this course. Living the Catholic Faith…Archbishop Terrence Prendergast S.J. will be speaking on living the gift of our Catholic Faith and facing the challenge of our times. Location: St. Peter's Seminary Auditorium on Wed., Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Co-sponsored by the: St. Peter's Institute for Catholic Formation, Euthanasia Prevention Coalition & Family Formation. Come and See Weekend…This is a weekend for men who are considering a call to the priesthood. Jesus invited men to "come and see" what it meant to be a follower of his during his public ministry, and the Lord continues to offer a similar invitation today. This weekend is a chance to check out what is involved in a call to the priesthood and to spend some quiet time with the Lord to figure it out. Location: St. Peter's Seminary in London on February 26-28 and is open to men 17 years of age and older. Cost is $20 with registration. Day of Confessions…Wednesday March 3. During this Year of the Priest, in the spirit of St. John Marie Vianney the patron saint of priests who spent long hours hearing confessions every day, our bishop has asked all priests in our diocese to make themselves available March 3 for the sacrament of reconciliation. Fr. Chris will be hearing confessions that day after the 8:00 a.m. mass until 7:00 p.m. in St. James Church, and Fr. Mooney will be available at St. Patrick's Church from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. as well. All are encouraged to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to be cleansed from sin and to prepare oneself worthily for the celebration of Easter.

Alternatively, there will be a communal penance celebration Tuesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Parish for our parish cluster as well.

World Day of Prayer…St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Brodhagen will host the World Day of Prayer on Friday, March 5, 2010. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch. Please contact Mary Helen (519-345-2926) if you need a ride.

CWL Convention…The 90th Annual CWL Convention will be held at the Holiday Inn in Sarnia this year from Monday, April 19th until Wednesday, April 21st. Please contact your CWL President; Mary Helen at 519-345-2926 or Marian at 519-527-0958 if you are interested in attending. We will be car pooling, so if you would like to “sit in” you are more than welcome. Attendance must be confirmed by March 8th.
