Ontario Early Years…Is a place where parents and caregivers can: take part with their children in early learning programs - crafts, songs, stories and much more; get answers to questions; get information about other programs and services that are available for young children; talk to early years professionals, as well as other parents and caregivers in the community. Programs in Seaforth are: a) Mondays at St. James School from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. This is an active program using a gym space that also incorporates school readiness skills & cooperative learning b) Thursdays at Seaforth Cooperative Children's Centre, 82 Chalk Street from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. This program is geared to babies, toddlers & twos with lots of exploration with craft materials and familiar songs and rhymes. All programs are FREE and designed for children between birth and six years of age.
Fall Pilgrimage…Pilgrimage to Medjugorje and Rome - October 8 to 18, 2010, taking in the Canonization Mass in Rome on Oct. 17 of a Canadian, Brother Andre of Montreal. $2999 per person (double occupancy). Father Chris Gillespie will accompany as the group's spiritual director. Social Committee News…Keep Sunday, September 12 free for our Annual St. James/St. Patrick's Parish Picnic. It will take place at the Seaforth Lions Park Pool following the 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. James Church. Join us at the pavilion at the Lions Park for a free lunch/games/social. Everyone invited. Please bring a lawn chair. Other upcoming events to watch for will be skating parties in November and March. As well, we will be hosting a Valentine Card Party on February 11, 2011 in St. Patrick's Church basement. Watch the bulletin for more details on these events.
St. Patrick's CWL News…St. Patrick's CWL General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the church basement. All members are welcome to attend. CWL members are invited to the Fall Regional Day which will be held in Ingersoll on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 9 am to 3 pm. If you would like to attend please contact Mary Helen (519-345-2926 or maryhelenvl@hotmail.com). Registration must be received by September 15, 2010. There is a cost of $6.00/person for lunch.
St. Patrick's Cemetery Sunday (Dublin)
will be observed on
Sunday, September 19th
following the 9:00 a.m. Mass.
A memorial service led by Fr. Chris Gillespie
will take place at the cemetery.
Refreshments will follow
in the church hall.
